Post: Support Worker
Wage: £6.90 per hour starting rate
rising to £7.25 after successful 6 months probationary period
Hours: 9.30 am to 3.30 pm – Monday to Friday
27½ hours per week
Location: Great Barr (B42 1DY)
Duration: Permanent
An experienced support worker is required to work with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in an Educational / ‘Learning through Fun’ environment.
Working within a very busy team, you will assist learning mentors in delivering individual and group learning, in sessions such as Art, Craft and Gardening. You will also be required to assist with personal care needs, where appropriate.
You must have experience in personal care and of working with adults with learning difficulties and autism. An NVQ or equivalent in Health & Social Care is preferred, but training can be arranged.
You will need an Enhanced CRB disclosure clearance. This will be organised by the company.
